Benjamin Velazquez

Benjamin Velazquez started Verdi Builders with a simple approach: do good work, treat people right, and take pride in the finished product. He’s in his early 30s, but he’s been around the trades most of his life, learning from his dad as a kid and building real experience from there. That early start gave him a strong respect for craftsmanship and for doing things the right way, not the fast way. Today, Benjamin brings that same mindset to every job, with a focus on quality, clear communication, and work that holds up over time. He takes pride in being hands-on, detail oriented, and involved in every stage of the process, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. Whether the job is a small repair or a larger renovation, he approaches it with the same level of care and responsibility. For Benjamin, good building is not just about getting the work done, it’s about earning trust, solving problems the right way, and leaving clients with something solid, well-finished, and built to last.

Gus Hoy

Gus Hoy graduated from Clark University in Worcester Massachusetts with a master’s degree and brings a unique mix of hands-on experience. For the past three years, he has been managing an estate on Martha’s Vineyard, giving him real-world experience coordinating upkeep, handling responsibilities across a property, and understanding what it takes to keep things running well over time. He also has a strong sense for what looks good and how details come together. His background in the trades started young, learning from his father, a stone and brick mason, who began showing him the ropes early on. Today, Gus is apprenticing under our founder Benjamin Velazquez, continuing to build his knowledge of the trades while also working in our business operations, & the day-to-day growth of the company.

Eddy

Eddy is a huge part of what makes Verdi Builders what it is. He’s highly talented, dependable, and the kind of guy who can step into just about any part of a project and figure it out. A true jack of all trades, Eddy brings a wide range of skills to the job along with a strong work ethic and a sharp eye for detail. He’s the kind of worker every crew wants more of and every client is happy to have on site. He’s the kind of person you can count on when a job gets complicated, when something needs extra care, or when it just needs to get done right. He brings a steady presence, a lot of practical ability, and the kind of all around value that makes a real difference on a crew. His talent, reliability, and willingness to take on whatever is needed make him one of the people clients remember and one of the reasons projects come together the way they should.
